10th Jun 2025: On the special occasion of Father’s Day, Sony SAB actors share their personal experiences and thoughts on fatherhood — a role that is as challenging as it is rewarding. Actors Jayesh More, Sumeet Raghvan, Arav Chowdharry, and Jayesh Bharbhaya open up about the joys, responsibilities, and lessons that come with being a father. They talk about the unique bond they share with their children, the values they wish to instill, and how fatherhood has transformed their perspectives both on and off screen.
Sumeet Raghvan, who plays Rajesh Wagle in Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, said, “ If I am not working, I usually spend Father’s Day at home with my kids. I believe I am a hands-on father, both offscreen and to my onscreen kids, Sakhi and Atharva. In real life I am very attached to my father; to me, he is my superhero. I am sure I am not the first child to say this, but he is a true hero who has essentially shaped my personality. To my fans, please respect your parents as they are our gurus and we must make them feel loved and taken care of.”
Arav Chowdharry, who plays Kesari in Veer Hanuman, said, “To me, fatherhood is one of the most powerful and humbling roles a person can have. It’s not just about providing or protecting — it’s about shaping a life with integrity, patience, and empathy. I believe being a father means guiding by example, teaching courage through actions, and showing that true strength often lies in kindness and quiet resilience. That legacy we pass on, through our values and choices, is what truly lives on in our children, and playing the role of Kesari, who is the father of Lord Hanuman, is very honorable for me.”
Jayesh Bharbhaya, who plays Bapodara in Pushpa Impossible, said, “As Bapodara, I may come across as loud or stubborn, but when it comes to my daughter Prarthana, there’s a softness that always shines through. Our on-screen bond is filled with love, care, and unspoken understanding — and what makes it even more special is that off-screen, that bond continues. We share genuine warmth and comfort while shooting, and she feels like a daughter to me in real life, too. This Father’s Day, I feel grateful to portray a role that celebrates a father’s layered, emotional journey and allows me to experience that connection both on and off the screen.”
Jayesh More, who plays Dilip Patel in Pushpa Impossible, said, “In the show, my character Dilip didn’t start as an ideal father, but once he realized the importance of being there for his children — Ashwin, Chirag, and Deepti — he didn’t look back. Though he began with shades of grey, today he stands as a strong pillar of support for his family. This Father’s Day, I’m reminded of how far his journey has come. Off-screen, too, I share a beautiful bond with the entire Deshna, who plays my youngest child, is especially close to me — she even turns to me for study tips during exams. It truly feels like I’ve earned a second family on set.”
